January 2023
From the 4-H Agent,
Laura Allen:

Happy New Year! We are gearing up for an exciting 4-H year!

As you may know, 4-H in North Carolina runs on the calendar year. Soon (but not yet), it will be time to re-enroll or enroll your child in 4-HOnline so they can be a 4-H member and reap all the benefits of 4-H! Youths must be ages 5-18 (as of January 1, 2023) to participate. Official 4-H Volunteers will also have to re-enroll in 4-HOnline. Parents DO NOT have to enroll themselves unless the want to be an official 4-H volunteer. Click here to learn about being a volunteer.

This newsletter includes:
-LOTS of info on upcoming 4-H programs

-a form you need to fill out for your child to get recognized for their 2022 4-H participation at our upcoming Achievement Night, DUE BY FEB. 10

-award, grant & scholarship application links

-2023 dates to put on your calendar
