New Year - New Faces

4-H Plant Sale

Our annual 4-H Plant sale is live! This fundraiser supports youth in Henderson County to grow something of their own, learn life skills in leadership, responsibility, discipline, public speaking, citizenship and community service. Online payment will launch next week. 

2023 Gardening Classes

Opportunities abound for gardeners to learn in 2023! NC State Extension in Henderson County, Bullington Gardens and Blue Ridge Community College will be providing classes covering a variety of home gardening topics in the new year.

WNC 4-H Pullet Project

Henderson and Buncombe Counties have partnered together to offer the second year of the WNC 4-H Pullet Project! The program is designed for youth ages 5-18 in Western North Carolina who are interested in raising and showing chicks.

Food Preservation Hands-on Workshops

Join us to learn how to safely can and preserve food using the pressure canner and hot water bath methods. Safe practices and principles will be discussed along with a hands-on demonstration of each method. Registration required. 

Multi-Generational Wellness Classes

Participants of all ages, from kindergarten to senior citizens, are encouraged to join these completely FREE classes in March! Each session will include a healthy recipe, creative activities, and low-impact physical activity. Registration required. 

2023 WNC Dairy Beef Feeder Calf 4-H Program Registration!

This program is designed to introduce youth to livestock showing, feeding and care. Applications due February 10.

Join us on Feb. 28th at 6 p.m. for a parent/guardian interest meeting concerning our 2023 Youth Livestock Judging Team!
