A Few Pointers for Raising Responsible Children
Many parents may associate discipline to various types of punishment. But if you think of the definition of self-discipline, it will help you see that discipline for children is a way of teaching them right from wrong. I am not saying if you follow the following steps your children will be angels, but I hope with your careful guidance they will be responsible adults who can care for themselves.

Annual 4-H Fruit Plant Sale
How do you help children to become responsible adults? By planting seeds for them to be creative, independent, and compassionate. If you are not around children all the time, this can be a difficult task. However, 4-H creates experiences for children through clubs, summer programs, or school activities for these seeds of mastery, independence, and generosity to grow. This year 4-H members will be using the proceeds of the plant sale to help pay for 4-H Camp.

February is a Great Time to Prune Blueberries!
Blueberries are a popular crop for commercial farmers as well as home gardeners in North Carolina. They are fairly easy to grow if provided the right conditions and don’t require pesticides to produce a good crop. This makes them a popular choice among organic growers.Blueberries require annual pruning to reliably produce a high quality crop and maintain bush height to facilitate harvest. Pruning can sometimes intimidate new growers who call Cooperative Extension for help and advice. <<Click Here to Read More>>
