Plus, we have a great selection of great plants and trees for your home.  Remember to share this info with your friends and family.

Club Corner
Macon Mountain Goats 4-H Club

The Macon Mountain Goats will be doing another vaccine and health checks for the balance of the herd on Feb. 4 at 3:30 for anyone that would like to attend.  This will be at Ms Cindy barn. We will also be giving pre-kidding sanitary clip for expecting does. Come join us and learn all about goat health.
Macon Archers

We are a great problem - super full shooting groups each week.  We are considering opening another night for our kids to shoot.
Currently, we are looking at Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 (starting February 14th).

Our hope is that this will allow each archer to shoot more arrows and to get more personalized coaching. Before we move forward with this, though, we need to know who / how many will want to shoot on Tuesdays. On Tuesdays, we won't separate archers based on how long they have been shooting or skill level. Anyone that can shoot on Tuesday is welcome.

HOWEVER, to accomplish the goals for this change, your archer can ONLY SHOOT ONE NIGHT EACH WEEK. Tuesday or Thursday. Not both.  If your archer(s) would like to start shooting on Tuesday, please let me or Tamara know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so we can plan accordingly.

Also, please talk to other parents that may not have joined us on our FB page yet to make sure everyone gets the news. Your help is appreciated!!!

Macon Sharp Shooters

This group is filling  up quickly, if you are interested in shooting on Monday nights, please let our 4-H office know.  We have moved inside and are shooting air rifles in the conference room of the Cooperative Extension Office.  This month we will shoot on Monday February 6th and February 20th at 5:30.
WHEP (Wildlife Habitat Education Project)

This month Mr. Jason Meador with Mainspring came to talk to us about waterfowl.  We were able to see a male mallard duck and learn all about it's habitat.  In February, we will meet on Tuesday February 14th and February 28 at the Environmental Resource Center.  Please call if you are interests in joining this group.

Budding Chefs and Top Chefs

This month the Top Chefs will be making deconstructed sushi bowl (at the request of a member) and looking at different rices of the world.  This group will meet on Tuesday February 14th at 3:45.

Budding Chefs will make cookies as a special thank you for our volunteers.  This will be one of our service projects for the year.  We will also make a special craft to give to a special person.  This group will meet on Wednesday February 15 at 3:45.

Sassy Stitchers
Our sewing club is back to work.  Last month we made our own hats and mittens.  This month we will meet on Thursday February 16th and February 23rd.  This class is currently full but we are taking names for the next upcoming group starting in August.

Macon 4-H Beekeepers
We are beginning our 2023 season with our first meeting on February 8th at 5:30 at the Cooperative Extension meeting room.  We still have room for anyone that would like to learn how hives work, how honey is made and  how humans/insects work together.  This group will meet the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 until April, when we will move outside and meet every other week.  Please call Tammara if you need more information.
