Land NC FarmLink is a program of NC State Extension that connects farmers, landowners, and service providers across North Carolina, helping to
grow the state’s agriculture industry.
Small Farms Week North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s annual tribute to small-scale agriculture will be held March 27–31, 2023, and will offer a variety of events and educational programs designed to inform the public and provide research-based information to support small farmers.
Family & Consumer Sciences National Nutrition Month National Nutrition Month® is an annual campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. During the
month of March, everyone is invited to learn about making informed food choices and developing healthy eating and physical activity habits. This year’s theme is “Fuel for the Future.”

Gardening To-Do List I was all set to work outdoors, when Mother Nature threw another curve ball. She has been busy with those curve balls this winter, hasn’t she! A cup of tea and a good book cannot be on my new agenda however, as there is much to be busy about this month.

Annual 4-H Fruit Plant Sale How do you help children to become responsible adults? By planting seeds for them to be creative, independent, and compassionate. If you are not around children all the time, this can be a difficult task. However, 4-H creates
experiences for children through clubs, summer programs, or school activities for these seeds of mastery, independence, and generosity to grow. This year 4-H members will be using the proceeds of the plant sale to help pay for 4-H Camp.

Vegetable gardening is becoming more popular—both as a pastime and a food source. We experience satisfaction in planting a seed or transplant, watching it grow to maturity, and harvesting the fruits of our labors. In addition, vegetable gardening offers a
