From the Director

February is the shortest month of the year but Extension staff in Currituck certainly made the most of it. Staff conducted over 65 classes and field visits reaching over 2300 residents with trustworthy, research based information on everything from pruning techniques, to variety selection and farm management, and local foods cooking techniques to livestock management and showing (just to name a few). In this month's newsletter be sure to check out the educational nuggets of information and note when you can attend a class for a deeper dive into the topics that you need most.

And as a special gift to our subscribers, we invite you to SAVE THE DATE for our upcoming Extension Report to the People and Open House. Join us on April 17th to learn more about all that NC Cooperative Extension in Currituck has to offer. This free event will be held at the Currituck Extension Center on 120 Community Way in Barco. More details and a formal invite will be released soon. Be on the lookout!
