VLA and County Council

VLA's next meeting will be April 4th at 6:30 pm at the Guilford County Office.

Join us at BJP!

Guilford county will be attending BJP in Reidsville July 9-14. We still have some spots available, but they're filling up fast, so register now!
We have extended our scholarship application deadline to April 5th.

NCD 4-H Rabbit Show

The 2023 North Central District 4-H Rabbit Show will be held on Saturday, May 6 at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Cattle Barn. Check-in will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the show will begin at the conclusion of the Poultry show. The show is for youth ages 5-18 (as of 1/1/2023). Youth must provide their own rabbit.

Register here before April 6. A $5 registration fee is also due.



4-H Beekeeping Essay Contest

Calling all young creative writers who love honey bees! Enrolled North Carolina 4-H youth are invited to research and write an essay for the state 4-H Beekeeping Essay contest. The 2023 essay topic is, “The Importance of Beeswax.”

Entries are due April 21st. More Information


Howling with CALS Summer Camp

Check out this FREE camp for rising 9th graders. The Howling with CALS Camp is a 4-day residential camp (June 11-14, 2023) for a small group of rising high-school freshmen from rural North Carolina counties or underrepresented communities to reside on North Carolina State University’s campus to learn more about opportunities within agriculture and life sciences.

Apply here before April 17th.


AgCarolina Farm Credit Scholarships

AgCarolina Farm Credit is offering a variety of scholarships for youth. The application is online accepting submissions until April 15th.
