Pesticide Classes at Anson Extension

Location: Anson CES, 501 McLaurin St., Wadesboro, NC 28170
· 8:30 –
9:30 a.m. NODX 1hr. Auxin herbicides – Auxin Best Management Practices.
· 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. 1 hr. NODX Paraquat training – Concerns, health effects, and 1st aid, PPE, application, and storage. Paraquat product labels and regulatory changes. Participants must earn 100% on the exam to earn credit.
· 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 1hr. NODXZ(SF) Soil Fumigation – Review certification requirements, label changes, fumigation management plans and best management practices for fumigant use.
· 1 – 3 p.m. 2hr V Private applicator - NCDA&CS topics include EPA updates, NCDA&CS environmental programs, and Worker Protection Standard update. The second hour covers issues related to herbicide resistance, pesticide exposures on the farm, and results of long term health outcomes.
