4-H Mini Gardening 

4-H is offering a summer gardening program for youth ages 9-18 to learn how to grow their own vegetable garden! Seeds and supplies will be provided. 
Registration is required and will close May 4th.

Cooking Classes

We are looking forward to some fun, FREE cooking and nutrition classes for students in grades K-12 over summer break! Each lesson is provided through the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and will include a healthy recipe, nutrition lesson, and physical activity.

Pesticide Applicator School and Exam in Spanish

To help Spanish speaking workers prepare for the private applicator exam, a Pesticide Safety School will be offered in Spanish in Henderson County on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center.

Garden Center Open House Tour 2023

Shop local nurseries and garden centers across Henderson County just in time for Mother’s Day! Find Mom annual and perennial flowers, groundcovers, trees and shrubs and specialty plants such as Japanese maples, hanging baskets and tropical plants. Shop for garden supplies such as beautiful containers, potting soil and meet your local ornamental plant grower. See garden demonstrations by local organizations.

2023 Gardening Classes
