Macon Sharp Shooters

We have a new location.  Our Macon County Sheriff's office is allowing our team to practice at their range.  Amazing opportunity!!  We will train in the same place that our Macon County law enforcement trains! Our first outdoor practice of the year will be on Saturday April 8th at 9:00am.  We will also meet on Saturday April 22nd.  The address is Radio Hill Road Franklin, NC 28734.  Look for the 4-H Clover signs.
Macon Hoofprints

Our Hoofprints group is on the move.  We will have a unmounted day and mounted day each month throughout this summer.  All interested 4-Hers can attend our unmounted days and you must have access to a horse for mounted activities. Our next mounted riding day will be on Tuesday April 18th at 3:30.  Please call Tammara for more information.

Budding Chefs and Top Chefs

Ms. Pam can't wait to hear what everyone has tried at home!
Remember to bring your folders because she has more recipes and puzzle fun for you.
We should be nearing the end of our cooking skills checklist as well as the school year!  So bring questions or thoughts that you have so we can get them worked in, as our last class is next month.

Top Chefs (ages 9-18) will meet on Tuesday April 11th at 3:45 and Budding Chefs (ages 5-8) will meet on Wednesday April 12th at 3:45.

Sassy Stitchers
Wow we are a busy bunch.  This month we will start making clothing for our fashion show in May.  Our next meetings will on Thursday April 20th and 27th at 3:45. Please bring fabric for your skirt project - 1 yard for small sewers, 2 yards for taller sewers.

WHEP (Wildlife Habitat Education Program)

We had the coolest experiences in March - while learning bird calls we saw a Bald Eagle.  Wow.  This month will be super awesome too.  On April 11th, we will shock fish with Jason Meador behind the Rec Park on Georgia Road.  On April 25th we will meet with Macon County Soil and Water to learn more about how our waterways affect local wildlife habitats.  Location will be announced closer to the date.

Macon 4-H Beekeepers

In March, we assembled hive boxes and looked at the different parts of a hive.  This month we will meet inside on April 12th to fit our bee suits and outside in the bee yard on April 19th at 5:30.  It is time to look inside the hive! Please call Tammara if you have questions about directions.
