Extension News Currituck County

May 2023

From the Director

I love this picture of our happy and dedicated staff team! Last month, this hard working crew rolled out the red carpet and welcomed county commissioners, advisors and special guests to the Sanderlin Auditorium at the Currituck Extension Center. The evening, dubbed the OSCERs (Official Special Celebration of Extension Report), featured refreshments sponsored by the Currituck Extension Foundation, various displays highlighting programs and activities, and an awards show celebrating the highlight accomplishments of 2022. (The complete report can be viewed here).

I was honored to highlight the incredible work that our staff is doing to make a difference in the lives of our community members. From providing educational programs on a variety of topics, to connecting people with resources they need, our staff is always going above and beyond to serve our community.

I would like to thank our county commissioners, advisors, clients and volunteers for their continued support of our work. Your investment in our programs and services allows us to continue to make a difference in the lives of our community members.

We will also be sharing highlights from 2022 on our social media throughout the year on #ThrowbackThursdays. Be sure to follow @CurrituckCES on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to see what we've been up to!
