Private Pesticide Classes for License Renewal
Cherokee County Center will be offering pesticide classes. Classes will be taught August 3, 2023 to renew private pesticide applicators license and commercial applicators can attend the X training for 2 hours credit.
Amazing Grazing Workshop
Amazing Grazing, a pasture based livestock education program, will be held on the Mountain Grass Fed Beef Farm in Andrews, NC.

Kids Club at Hayesville Discovery Program
Kim Terrell, our FCS Agent, has been teaching Kids Club to the Hayesville Elementary Discovery Afterschool Program. Kids Club is a nutrition and fitness program designed to teach elementary aged children about nutrition and fitness that incorporates fun activities such as taste tests, outdoor exercises and basic cooking.

Interns Graduate Master Gardener Course
Last month, 12 interns graduated from the Master Gardener Course. The course was 13 weeks long and included weekly instructors & speakers.
 
4-H & Youth Development
4-H Places at District
Last month, Clay County 4-H Trails & Rails Club entered the West District Artistic Expression Competition that was held alongside the West District Horse Show in Fletcher, NC.
