MY TIME WITH 4-H Jayla Tabora, Lee Early College Sophomore ________________________________
I have only just become a young commissioner after doing the 2-week summer program, but I am already so excited about the tasks and duties I will have to do. My friends would ask me if I wanted to do this program, and since I still wanted to see them during the summer, I accepted it. But when I first started the summer program, I was scared I was going to be the lonely girl and only talk to 1-2 close friends I already knew. Instead of that, I met many other people I could relate to and communicate with. This was probably one of the best choices I made when I was offered to join Young Commissioners, and I will most likely continue with this program. We met so many people who all wanted to be a part of a big cause in our community. We pledged our heads,
hearts, hands, and health for our club, our community, our country, and our world, so that is just what we will do.
