On Friday, July 7, during the Opening Ceremonies of the 2023 NC State 4-H Horse Show, the show was officially dedicated to Karen Jones. Karen Jones has been a Harnett County and NC 4-H volunteer for over 17 years. Her selfless spirit and willingness to share her love of horses with 4-H members have made her an outstanding leader and volunteer. Everyone who knows Karen will tell you that her kind and giving spirit make her not only an amazing person and friend but also an extraordinary leader. Although her daughter has long since aged out of 4-H, Karen continues to give back to the 4-H program. We cannot thank Karen enough for all that she has done and continues to do for the horse program and all of its participants and leaders.
