4-H Congress in Raleigh

Andrew Martin, a second-year attendee, and first-time attendees Jahzaria Underwood and Jaiden Tshamanla represented Anson County 4-H at the 2023 NC 4-H Congress where this year’s theme was “Making Waves”. 4-H Congress is Carolina 4-H’s premiere event and a great environment for youth to learn and have fun while meeting other 4-H’ers.

Animal Adventures

4-H Summer Day Camps are great way to learn, have fun, and make new friends while being introduced to the core values of 4-H.  This year’s camp theme was “Animal Adventures” and campers were able to learn about animals through local partnerships with Anson Cooperative Extension, Anson County Animal Shelter, Brown Creek Creamery, Little’s Park, Pee Dee Wildlife Refuge, and the Rotary Planetarium.  Stay on the lookout for 4-H Summer Day Camps next summer!

2023 NCACC Youth Voice

While in Raleigh, Jahzaria attended workshops, had breakfast with Anson County Commissioners, and sat in on the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners business meeting.
