What is a 4-H Project Record Book?
A 4-H project record book is a compilation of all of a 4-Her's work in a given year regarding a specific topic.
Who does a 4-H Project Record Book?
All 4-Her's are welcome and encouraged to do this!!! The age divisions for competition are 5-7, 8-10,11-12,13-15, and 16-18.
Project books are required to go to some events like the annual Electric Congress.

4-H Gingerbread Contest This year's gingerbread house contest was amazing!! We had so many awesome entries! To see all the entries please visit our facebook page.

Alexander County 4-H will be taking a group to the Eastern 4-H Center for a weeklong camp this summer. June 16-21, 2024 will be the dates for this camp. If you are interested and need more information please contact DJ Salyer at dj_salyer@ncsu.edu or call 828-632-3125.
Alexander County 4-H Clubs
Now is a great time to get involved with 4-H Clubs in Alexander County. Below is a list of our active clubs at this time. If you are looking for a club and need more information please contact the 4-H Office at 828-632-3125.
Alexander County Livestock 4-H Club-meets 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Location:
Alexander County Service Center
The Alexander County Livestock 4-H Club did not meet in January due to the holiday. Please join them in February on the first Monday night at 7p.m.
Contact Ada Iversen to join the email list adaiversen@yahoo.com to keep up with the Livestock Club.
Alexander County 4-H Garden Club-meets 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
Location: Alexander County Service Center
The 4H Garden Club will not be meeting the months of November, December or January. They will meet again on Thursday, February 8 at 5:30 p.m.
Southern Grace 4-H Club-meets 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. Location: Alexander County Service
Center (They are not accepting new members at this time.)
The Southern Grace 4-H Club did not meeting December.
Shockers 4-H Electric Club-meets 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Location: Alexander County Service Center
The Shockers Club did not meet in December. Their next meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 16th at 6:30 p.m.
Whisk it Up 4-H Cooking Club-meets 4th Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. Location: Alexander County Service Center
Whisk it Up 4-H members met in December to make gingerbread houses to enter in the Alexander 4-H Gingerbread House Contest. Their next meeting will be held on Thursday, January 25 at 4:00 p.m. Please notify Ave Icenhour or call the 4-H office at 828-632-4451 if you plan to attend

WHEP ( Wildlife Habitat Evaluation Program) - meets last Wednesday of the month at 4:00pm Location: Alexander County Service Center
The WHEP teams next practice will be a field trip on January 4th to look at wildlife management practices in the real world.
ALL 4-H members and volunteers MUST be enrolled in 4-H Online to participate in any programs or clubs that are provided by Alexander County 4-H.
If you have any questions regarding enrollment or need help with enrollment please contact DJ Salyer at 828-632-3125. Again, no child or volunteer can participate in 4-H events without being enrolled.

January 15th- Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Alexander county offices will be closed)
