Henderson County 4-H FRESH Program 2024


Henderson County 4-H and the National Park Service are thrilled to announce the continuation of the FRESH (Flat Rock’s Exceptional Sandburg Helpers) Program for summer 2024!


FRESH participants will have the opportunity to learn about goat care and management, complete daily chores, and interact with visitors to discuss the history and significance of the Carl Sandburg Home NHS.

The 2024 WNC Dairy Feeder Calf Program is off to a great start and has 19 youth participants from 8 counties. 

Calves will be sold in lots after the Mountain State Fair, contact Abby at 828-255-5522 if you are interested in supporting this youth livestock project.
