Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers of Cherokee County will be offering free gardening classes on the second Wednesday of every month from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m.
Classes are being offered by the NC State Extension, Cherokee County Master Gardener Speakers Bureau.
Classes will be held at the Extension Meeting Room located at
699 Connahetta Street in Murphy, NC.

Enroll or Re-Enroll in 4-H for 2024 |
North Carolina 4-H utilizes an enrollment system for all new and existing 4-H members and volunteers. The online enrollment system is called 4-HOnline. If you created a new family profile in the 4-HOnline system during the 2023 program year – or – if you re-enrolled from a previous year – it is now time to update that record for the new 2024 – 2025 programmatic year.

Cherokee County 4-H has a long history of partnering with the local schools to provide great 4-H School Enrichment programs to the classrooms across the county. This year is no different. Currently, 4-H has programs at Murphy Elementary, Ranger Elementary Middle, and Andrews Elementary and we are advising Oaks Academy about a future raised bed garden spot. We also partner with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, 21st Century Learning Centers, and Cherokee County After School.
