Important Changes to Club Meeting Schedules

Several of our clubs will be having schedule changes during the summer months. See the important information below


Cooking Club- No meetings in June or July. Fall schedule will be communicated in August.


STEM Club - No meetings in June or July. Fall schedule will be communicated in August.


Sewing Club- No meetings in June or July. Fall schedule will be communicated in August.


Outdoor Adventures Club- No meetings in June or July. Fall schedule will be communicated in August.


Beef & Livestock Club- No meetings in June or July. Fall schedule will be communicated in August.

Protect Kids from Ticks this Summer!


Enjoy the great outdoors, but don't forget about the threat of ticks. Do daily tick checks after playing outside and wear protective clothing. If bitten, properly remove tick and wash affected area with soap and water. Click the link below for more information and a cool tick identification guide.

4-H Drive In Movie Night



Join us on Friday, June 28th for a trip back in time for a classic drive-in movie! Bring the whole family in the car for an evening of fun! We will have games, food and of course a great family friendly movie! All proceeds from this event will support Yancey County 4-H programs.

4-H News: Fifteen Youth Present at County Activity Day!

On Thursday, May 16th, fifteen youth participated in our 4-H presentation competition. These youth gave their presentations to our judges on a wide variety of topics from seashells to invasive species to hunting and even our beef outdoor cookery category!


Congratulations to each of these 4-H’ers and the ones who will be advancing to our West District competition in June.
