4-H Shout Outs

Thanks to all those who helped in some way with our 4-H PALS Port-a-Pit fundraiser! If you sold plates, purchased plates, shared the flyers & info, contacted local businesses, worked at the event, delivered plates, helped pick up supplies, etc. THANK YOU! It takes a village to make this event happen.

Our total profit was $5,125.05. This money is contained in our Rowan County 4-H PALS (501c3) account and is used to provide Rowan 4-H Event Grants to 4-H'ers attending more expensive 4-H events, assist volunteers in attending various volunteer trainings, and help with some 4-H program expenses.

This year we had 30 different 4-H'ers receive credit for selling tickets. Our top 3 plate sellers were: Sadie Allen, Luke Allen, Nathan Croyle.

Thank you to all 4-H'ers who worked the 4-H display booth at Tractor Supply in Salisbury during Paper Clover Week. When we have 4-H'ers there in-person, we are able to spread the word about 4-H, help people in the community by assisting them in returning their shopping carts, and we collect more donations to help 4-H. Those 4-H'ers who worked received "Cloverbucks" they can use to help pay for future 4-H activities. THANK YOU!!!

Congratulations to the following graduating seniors who have received 4-H scholarships:

Talton Correll, Rowe McNeely 4-H Scholarship (given to a Rowan or Iredell 4-H'er annually), $1,500

Olivia Stirrup, 4-H Lorna W. Langley 4-H Scholarship (given by NC 4-H), $1,500
Do you have Medicaid? If so, your policy most likely gives a $10-$75 voucher to be used towards youth activities, and 4-H should qualify! Please check into this for your family!
