August 4-H Family Newsletter

Congratulations Emily Carson!
Congratulations Emily Carson on receiving the 4-H Gold Ambassador Award! Emily was one of three recipients of this state level award which was presented at the 2021 NC State 4-H Congress virtual event.

Emily has worked extremely hard this past year to participate in the various workshops and training opportunities for the NC 4-H Ambassadors. Gold level workshop topics included: Youth/Adult Partnerships, Learning Styles, Teamwork Management, Donors and Elected Officials, and Diversity and Inclusion. She also had to complete 35+ hours of service work. All together, Emily devoted over 100 hours to receive this great honor!

The mission of the North Carolina 4-H Ambassador program is to empower 4-H teens with the knowledge, skills and aspirations necessary to be effective advocates for the NC 4-H Youth Development Program.
