Extension News Currituck County

July 2024

From the Director

We have some exciting news to share! Our very own Adam Formella, Agriculture Agent, received the NCACAA Young Agent Scholarship Award at the 2024 state meeting in Wilmington, NC. Since 2019, Adam has been a dynamic team member, driving innovation in our agriculture program. His work supports farmers, provides pesticide education, addresses horticulture issues, and assists with youth agricultural programs. Adam will use his scholarship to attend the National Association of County Agricultural Agents meeting, bringing back fresh ideas for Currituck farms and families.

As we celebrate Adam's achievements, don't miss our seasonal offerings: summer gardening workshops, youth camps, and canning workshops, just to name a few!   Read more.
