Eat Healthy Anywhere |

This months Lunch N’ Learn workshop is focused on “Food On the Go: Eat Healthy Anywhere”. Learn how to eat healthy anywhere. You’ll get tips and tricks for food on the go, what to look for on restaurant, menus, and portion control. Join us for this in-person workshop on Wednesday, August 7 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.. Cost is $5 and must be received at the Extension Office, Room 123 by Friday, August 2. |

Donate Money or Produce |
|
Be sure to visit the Stovall Farmers Market at the Stovall Library on the August 8 and August 22 (2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month) from 3:30pm - 6:30pm. We will have information on nutrition, recipes, giveaways, and much more. We will also be collecting money and/or produce to be donated to help local people in need. |

Plan Your Meals |

We will host a Fall Meal Planning workshop at the South Granville Branch Public Library on Friday, August 9 at 1:00 p.m.. Come learn how to plan meals for the fall season, benefits of having a versatile pantry, ways to organize and keep track of food, and a variety of meals that can be prepared from a set of staple ingredients.

Join us on Monday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the South Granville Senior Center for our workshop on “Summer Food Safety” where we will discuss the 4 steps of keeping food safe, learn how to stay safe when traveling or cooking outdoors during the summer, and learn how to prevent food-borne illness at home. Interested in learning new tips, tools and gadgets to help you cook easier, healthier, and more often for your family? We have 2 chances for you to attend our “Cook With Ease” workshop. On Tuesday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m., we will be at the North Granville Senior Center in Stovall. And then on Wednesday, August 21 at 10:45 a.m., we will be at the Granville Senior Center in Oxford. It is free to attend either of these workshops. |
