2024 Greensboro District Junior Dairy Show
We had the pleasure of hosting the Greensboro District Junior Dairy Show at the Ag Center on July 16th. With 50 exhibitors and around 200 attendees, this dairy show has been ongoing for the last 80 years and continues to be a fun and highly anticipated event for the dairy industry in our area. Three different dairy calf project programs participated in the show this year, including Guilford County's own Dairy Calf Project in cooperation with the NC A&T Dairy. We are extremely grateful for the help from the community volunteers and area agents who assisted in the show preparations and operation. We hope to see everyone again next year!

In July, we had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Arial Seay-Howard, Assistant Professor of Race, Rhetoric, and Communication at NC State University. Read the following comments Dr.
Seay-Howard shared about her visit:
"On July 17th, I had the opportunity to travel around Greensboro, North Carolina, with Extension Agent Crystal Mercer, who is an agent of Agriculture - Community & School Gardens for Guilford County Center. She was kind enough to take me on one of her weekly routes, where I could see the various gardens that community members have built to feed their community. It was, by far, a memorable experience. However, the best part of the trip was to see how invested Crystal is in her community and how hard she works to ensure that community gardens are cared for and that the people who grow them feel supported. I appreciate everything Crystal and Guilford County Center is doing for Greensboro. I look forward to staying in touch with them!"
