Plans are set for the 2024 NC State University Introductory Horse Judging Short Course and Open Horse Show Judges’ Certification Clinic. The Introductory Horse Judging Short Course is scheduled for November 2-3, in Riddick Hall at NC State University. This course is taught at an introductory level for those with limited horse judging experience. AQHA Professional Horseman and past director of AQHA Judges, Alex Ross, will be lecturing on Western Pleasure, Trail, Ranch Riding, and Working Western Rail.
DISCOUNT OPPORTUNITY FOR NC SENIOR 4-H'ERS
If you have a senior 4-H member who is interested in practicing their horse judging skills, we are offering a discounted price to the NCSU Horse Judging Short Course on November 2-3, 2024 for $75 (course price is $110 for adults). This is an opportunity to learn in depth from industry leaders about western, hunter, saddle seat, and gaited events. This course is very in depth with a lot of material, so we have seen in the past that it is difficult for junior 4-Hers to stay engaged and focused, as the primary audience for this course are adults who are planning to become open horse show judges.
Registration for the course takes place through Eventbrite. To take advantage of the $75 ticket price for Senior 4-H'ers, place use this link.

|
The Open Horse Show Judges’ Certification Clinic will take place November 22-23, 2024, at NC State University in Riddick Hall. Individuals completing the clinic will be included on a list of suggested horse show judges that will be annually revised and distributed to open horse show organizations located in North Carolina and surrounding states.
