ALL 4-H members and volunteers MUST be enrolled in 4-H Online to participate in any programs or clubs that are provided by Alexander County 4-H.

If you have any questions regarding enrollment or need help with enrollment please contact DJ Salyer at 828-632-3125.  Again, no child or volunteer can participate in 4-H events without being enrolled.
 
 
 
 
Alexander County 4-H Clubs
Alexander County Livestock 4-H Club  meets 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Location:  Alexander County Service Center.
The Alexander County Livestock 4-H Club did not meet in September due to the meeting falling on Labor Day.   New members are welcome!!
 
Alexander County 4-H Garden Club meets 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m.  Location:  Alexander County Service Center
In September the 4H Garden Club learned about apples. After talking about the history of apples and their life cycle, they specifically looked at the browning process of apples and how you can slow down that process through different ways!

The next meeting will be October 10th @ 5:30pm. If you plan to attend this meeting, confirmation is needed by Monday, October 9th. This will allow us to gather enough materials for everyone! If you have any questions about 4H Garden Club, please give me a call (828-632-4451).

 
Southern Grace 4-H Club  meets 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m.  Location:  Alexander County Service Center (They are not accepting new members at this time.)
For the September meeting, the Southern Grace 4-H Club made homemade boba and a pumpkin iced drink. It was delicious fun treat for fall!
 
Shockers 4-H Electric Club meets 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Location:  Alexander County Service Center   New members are welcome!
The Shockers Electric Club met in September.  Reports form the 4H Electric Congress and the 4H Congress from Eowyn and Finn Berwick were given.  For the educational program, members made batteries from household items of pennies, zinc washers and construction paper.
Whisk it Up 4-H Cooking Club meets 4th Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. Location:  Alexander County Service Center.
Whisk it Up 4-H Club was not able to meet in September due to inclement weather.  Below are their upcoming dates and program topics.  
 
WHEP (Wildlife Habitat Education Program)   2024 Intro Meeting will be held November 6, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Alexander County Service Center.


Wear green October 6-12, 2023 to celebrate National 4-H Week!
