Fair Set-Up Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to help set-up the agricultural display at the Cumberland County Fair.  If any youth, ages 13 and up, or parents would like to help on Friday, August 27 at 10 a.m., please contact Jessica Drake by 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.  We greatly appreciate any help you can provide.  Participants must be enrolled in 4-H Online to participate.

PBS Special - Your moment in the spotlight!

4-H'ers we have an awesome opportunity to be featured in an upcoming PBS special!  We would like for each of you to create one of these two things:

1)  Rainstick/instrument using corn - use this link for instructions.
      https://youtu.be/k0C-K0VxMMk

2)  Popcorn Art - create a picture that incorporates popped popcorn and/or kernals.

Take a picture of yourself with your art work and email to Jessica Drake at  jessica_drake@ncsu.edu.  Bring your creation to the Cumberland County Fair for everyone to enjoy.

Also, we need a youth (or a family with youth) to come to the scavenger hunt the morning/afternoon before the fair on September 3 to read the corn facts on camera.
Please let Jessica know as soon as possible if you would like to do one or a couple of these tasks.
