ALL 4-H members and volunteers MUST be enrolled in 4-H Online to participate in any programs or clubs that are provided by Alexander County 4-H.

It's time to start getting your 4-H Project Record Books completed!!!
What is a 4-H Project Record Book?
A 4-H project record book is a compilation of all of a
4-Her's work in a given year regarding a specific topic.
Who does a 4-H Project Record Book?
All 4-Her's are welcome and encouraged to do this!!! The age divisions for competition are 5-7, 8-10,11-12,13-15, and 16-18.
Project books are required to go to some events like the annual Electric Congress. If you are working on your project book and have questions you can reach out to DJ via phone 828-632-3125 or email dj_salyer@ncsu.edu
Alexander County 4-H Clubs
Alexander County Livestock 4-H Clubmeets 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Location: Alexander County Service Center.
The Alexander County Livestock 4-H Club in November and had a great presentation led by Elliott Millinor with Seven Springs Mobile Veterinary Service. He talked about his experience in Arizona and work with the Bureau of Land Management and the wild Mustangs and Burros. He also zoomed a Professor that he worked under. The Livestock 4-H Club will not meet in December and plans to on the first Monday night in January.
Alexander County 4-H Garden Club meets 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Location: Alexander County Service Center
The Alexander 4-H Garden Club will be taking the months of November, December and January off. The next club meeting will be held in February. If you have any questions about 4-H Garden Club, please give me a call (828-632-4451).
Southern Grace 4-H Clubmeets 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. Location: Alexander County Service Center (They are not accepting new members at this time.)
The next meeting will be held Thursday, December 19th at 5:00 p.m.
Shockers 4-H Electric Clubmeets 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Location: Alexander County Service Center New members are welcome!
The Shockers Electrical Club met in on November to make squishy circuits out of play dough. The play dough consisted of salt and sugar to be used as the insulator. Batteries were used as the power sourch and a LED as the test light. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 17th. New members are welcome to attend!
Whisk it Up 4-H Cooking Clubmeets 4th Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. Location: Alexander County Service Center.
WHEP (Wildlife Habitat Education Program) will be meet December 4, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Alexander County Service Center.
