Join us for a day of celebration, learning, and community with Wake County 4-H! Whether you’re participating in presentations, attending the awards celebration, or both, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Registration for the awards celebration is separate. You will be notified when Eventbrite registration opens. In the meantime, you can nominate for awards or sign up to present!

Youth Advocacy Summit Registration – Almost Full!

Ages: 8-18 (Tracks for ages 8-12 & 13-18)

Young presenters will share their “Stories Beyond Boundaries” at John Chavis Memorial Park. This year’s theme celebrates the power and promise of youth to tackle complex issues, build bridges, and redefine what it means to be a catalyst for social change. Registration opening soon.

SPOTLIGHT ON SUCCESS!

2nd Place at the Hay Bale Fair
Our 4-Hers crafted a creative hay bale shaped like an emoji, incorporating feedback from fellow members. Their teamwork paid off — earning 2nd place. Wake County has placed in the top two haybales for three years running!

Hurricane Helene Relief

Donation Drive & Packaging Day (Nov 16): 4-Hers and community members generously donated and packaged items for youth impacted by the hurricane.

Fiber Arts Event (Dec 7): 4-Hers showcased their sewing, knitting, and crocheting talents to create comforting items for families in need.

Kids Voting Initiative
This fall, Wake County 4-H launched its first-ever Kids Voting program in partnership with Kids Voting Durham. Two high school 4-H members led efforts to engage youth in civic learning through events at libraries, schools, and on Election Day, empowering future voters.

Teacher Workday Camp (Jan 21)
Middle schoolers spent the morning exploring environmental science through hands-on STEM activities and the afternoon giving back at the Salvation Army through a meaningful service project.
