4-H Club Meetings and Information

We are excited to announce that 4-H Clubs will begin meeting in September!!!  Below is a list of clubs and information regarding meetings.  If you have any questions about 4-H Clubs please call DJ Salyer at 828-632-3125 or email dj_salyer@ncsu.edu**Please make sure a parent/guardian stays for the first meeting listed below.  These meetings will be reorganization meetings and important decisions will be made.**  

Alexander County 4-H Livestock Club
Meeting Time:  September 16, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
Location:  N.C. Cooperative Extension-Alexander County Center, 151 West Main Avenue, Taylorsville, NC 28681


Home Grown Hearts 4-H Club
Meeting Time:  September 17, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
Location:  N.C. Cooperative Extension-Alexander County Center, 151 West Main Avenue, Taylorsville, NC 28681

Boots and Breeches 4-H Horse Club
Location:  Foothills Equestrian Center, 531 Starnes Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681
Currently looking for a volunteer to assist with club then will proceed with meetings.  If you would like to help with the Boots and Breeches 4-H Horse Club please contact the Alexander Center at 828-632-3125.  

Southern Grace 4-H Club
Meeting Time:  September 16, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.

Shockers 4-H Electric Club
Meeting Time:  September 21, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

Whisk It Up 4-H Club
Meeting Time:  September 23, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.

NEW clubs to be offered...
New 4-H Wildlife Habitat Education Program (WHEP) Coming Soon...
The 4-H Wildlife Habitat Education Program also known as WHEP is a national 4-H program that teaches 4-H'ers about the fundamentals of wildlife management, brings 4-H'ers together to develop team skills, promotes and develops leadership skills among 4-H'ers providing an opportunities to work with natural resource professionals.

Alexander 4-H is planning to start a new WHEP team/teams if anyone is interested please call DJ Salyer, 4-H Agent at 828-632-3125 or email dj_salyer@ncsu.edu.
 
4-H Garden Club

This club will be designed to introduce kids to all the different sub-categories of horticulture so that they can learn more about the natural world around them and perhaps spark their interests! We will have an interest meeting on Sept 30th @ 6pm in the Alexander Services Building ( 151 West Main Avenue, Taylorsville, NC 28681 ).
