You've Been Warned!!

Join the Extension Office on Monday, April 7 at 12:00 p.m. at the South Granville Public Library in Creedmoor for our workshop on the “10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s”. Participants will learn about: the difference between normal aging and Alzheimer’s, warning signs, the importance of early detection and Alzheimer’s Association resources.

FUNdamentals of Composting

Be Positive 

Join us on Tuesday, April 15 at 11:30 a.m. at the Person County Auditorium for our monthly Lunch N’ Learn focused on “Positive Thinking for Better Living”. Your thoughts are the source of your emotions and mood. Come learn how to think more positively to live better. Cost is $5 to attend and is due to the Extension Office, Room 123 by April 11.

Putting Food By

At this year's Granville Gardener's Expo event scheduled for Saturday, April 26 from 9am-3pm, the NC Cooperative Extension Office - Granville County Center will be offering some free educational workshops from 10:00am - 2:00pm. The day will start with our workshop on Food Preservation where we will be giving an introduction to different food preservation techniques.

Declutter Your Life

Tackling clutter can seem overwhelming and sometimes getting started is the hardest part. Join Jennifer Brown from the N.C. Cooperative Extension on Monday, April 28 at 10:45 a.m. at the Granville Senior Center in Oxford to learn some simple steps you can take to begin to tackle areas of clutter that may be bothering you. No guilt, just ideas!

Prevent Diabetes 

Our next Person County Diabetes Prevention Program is set to start in July. Starting Thursday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m., we will be hosting Information Sessions to provide more information on this program and to see if you qualify. You only need to attend 1 session (and it does not commit you to anything).
