Drought Alert: Protect Your Plants During Dry Conditions

As drought conditions continue across North Carolina, the Currituck County Center of N.C. Cooperative Extension urges homeowners, gardeners, and landscapers to take proactive steps to protect their plants and landscapes. Extended periods without sufficient rainfall can place significant stress on trees, shrubs, lawns, and gardens, making them more susceptible to pests, disease, and long-term damage. Proper watering practices are critical to preserving the health and vitality of your plants during these challenging conditions.
