National 4-H Week Oct 3-9
Take advantage of this important week to highlight the remarkable 4-H youth in your communities and showcase the incredible experiences that 4-H offers young people.

Take a look at the NC 4-H Opportunities this week
Tractor Supply Co. Paper Clover Campaign
Since 2010, Tractor Supply has partnered with 4‑H to help create Opportunity4All and raise more than $14 million through the Paper Clover campaign. Unfortunately, because of COVID, members will not be allowed to hold events at the stores. However, TSC has upgraded their pin pad machine to ask customers if they would like to donate $1, $3, other amounts, or round up! Also, for anyone who donates using their TSC credit card, TSC will match the donation! Make sure you share our Facebook posts about the campaign and let your friends and family know! We have two stores in Guilford County:
            • 4104 S Elm-Eugene Street, Greensboro
            • 8005 Marketplace Drive, Oak Ridge
Fall 4-H Plant Sale
Earn money for your 4-H scholarship account to put towards camps and workshops by participating in the Fall Plant Sale. A portion of the proceeds off each plant sold by a 4-H'er will go towards their scholarship fund. Please read the instructions on how to sell plants. We have included some forms and flyers for your use:
Plant Orders and Checks/Money Orders are due in the 4-H Office by 5:00 PM on October 27. Submit your orders electronically on our website.
Meredith Needs Your Help!
As the newest 4-H Agent in Guilford County, I am seeking community input to shape our growing 4-H program. Please take a moment to complete this brief survey and forward to others in Guilford County that can offer their insights, including Guilford County youth aged 5-18. For younger ages, adult assistance will be required.

New 4-H Club!
There's a new club in Guilford County! The Poultry Pack 4-H Club at NC A&T will be focusing on Poultry Science. Planned activities include embryology, avian bowl, poultry judging, and more! Our first project will be hatching eggs at home! To get added to our email list, contact club leader, Yewande Fasina. Be sure to include your name and phone number.
First Meeting: October 12, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
NC 4-H Virtual Volunteer Training
North Carolina 4-H will host a FREE virtual training session on Saturday morning, October 23rd.  The training will be delivered over Zoom and is open to the first 200 volunteers who register! These sessions will not be recorded, so be sure to sign up and attend! Registration closes October 18th or when spaces are filled. Remember, every 4-H volunteer must attend 2 trainings each year! This is a great opportunity to get one of those trainings!

2022 Outbound International 4-H Program
Summer Outbound programs provide 4-H youth with the opportunity to travel to foreign countries for a cultural immersion experience. Outbound delegates live with volunteer host families and engage in experiential learning about a new way of life. Delegates experience aspects of daily life that allow them to more deeply understand both their host culture and their own culture. Our network of like-minded international partners recruit host families and plan enrichment activities for the delegation. The Outbound program is open to current or recent 4-H members who have participated in a county or state program.

Online Applications for 2022 are due December 15, 2021. Visit the
NC 4-H International Exchange Program Website for more information.
