The 4-H County Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 21, at 5:30 p.m.  This meeting is for all 4-H families, volunteers and youth.

CPR and First Aid Class Interest

The Sharpshooters 4-H Club is exploring scheduling a class in the near future for CPR and First Aid.  Scheduling will be dependent on interest and volunteer availability.  Please email Jessica at jessica_drake@ncsu.edu if you are interested in participating.

NC Volunteer Leaders' Conference
Save the Date and Workshop Proposal

Are you interested in teaching a workshop?  We are looking for hands-on, high quality workshops for the NC 4-H Volunteer Leaders' Conference.

The NC 4-H Volunteer Leaders' Association is already preparing for a great Volunteer Leaders' Conference in 2022!

NC 4-H Volunteer Leaders' Conference is an annual event where 4-H volunteers from across the state come together to participate in interactive workshops, learn together and elect and install new officers for the NC 4-H Volunteer Leaders' Association. Contact your  4-H agent to register to attend.

NC 4-H Virtual Volunteer Training

North Carolina 4-H will host a FREE virtual training session on Saturday, October 23.  The training will be delivered via Zoom and is open to the first 200 volunteers who register!

These sessions will not be recorded, so be sure to sign up and attend.  Registration deadline is Monday, October 18 or when spaces are filled.

4-H Volunteer Conference of Southern States

We are excited about this year's national 4-H volunteer conference, 4-H Volunteering: A World of Opportunities. This year's conference is September 20 - October 3 and includes an onsite and virtual option.  Onsite participants will join at Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, Georgia for workshop sessions, speakers, networking opportunities, and more.  Virtual participants will have both prerecorded and real-time sessions offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Real-time virtual workshops are also recorded and both our onsite and virtual participants will have the access to the recordings on demand through the end of the calendar year.

If you have not registered we encourage you to visit http://www.4hvcoss.com/ and select the option that best meets your needs and join us for the event.  Onsite registration is $350 for double occupancy accommodations or $425 for single.  This registration option includes meals beginning with Thursday's dinner through breakfast on Sunday, as well as three night's lodging and all conference materials including the on demand recordings. Virtual registration is $100 and includes on demand and real-time sessions and a conference packet.

2021 Showcase of Talent

We are excited for the 4-H Showcase of Talent.  The Showcase of Talent will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 during our National 4-H Week Kick-Off Event which will feature the 4-H Talent Showcase at 4 p.m.

Farm Credit Youth Personal Finance Educational Program

The Farm Credit Associations of NC are excited to share a new resource to assist with youth education. Finding accurate personal finance information tailored to high school students can be challenging, so Farm Credit has created a "Youth Personal Finance Resource" site to be your one-stop shop. International Observe the Moon Night

Are you interested in joining a global celebration?  Join others around the globe to look at the moon, attend an event, watch moon videos, create moon inspired art, or host your own observe the moon event.

4-H Online 2.0-How to Enroll

Please see the attached letter that details information that will make your enrollment and re-enrollment much easier. If you were enrolled in the system last year, you will not have to set up a brand new account. Your login information is the same. Please reach out if you need assistance or need your password reset.

Adults, please note that in the information transfer, many of our volunteers and adult birthdates were changed. Unfortunately, you will need to go in and add your actual date of birth.

Also note that you will need to determine a club affiliation in order for your
application to go through. If you are not in a particular club, please select
Member at Large (Cumberland County).

Please refer to the letter attached and contact the 4-H office if you have any questions.
