Meet Ulma Cain
4-H Program Assistant


Hi, my name is Ulma Cain, and I’m excited to serve as the new 4-H Program Assistant in Guilford County. I bring over 16 years of experience in education and a passion for youth development. I look forward to empowering young people through hands-on learning, leadership, and fun 4-H experiences!

VLA's next meeting will be October 7th at 6:00 pm at the Guilford County Office. Any adults who wish to support 4-H are welcome to attend.

Dr. Kim Ingold Photography Contest
Entries Due September 15th
Show off your creativity in the Dr. Kim Ingold 4-H Photography Contest, open to all NC 4-H members and adults. Categories include 4-H in Action, Nature’s Beauty, Animals, and more. Submit your entries by September 15, 2025. Winning photos will be featured online, on social media, and at the NC State Fair.

Twenty youth represented Guilford County at the Central Region 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament, with several advancing to the state competition this fall. Read more about their accomplishments.

Volunteer Hours Available for Teens

Join us for a monthly community service project at the Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch. We will meet the 2nd Thursday of every month September through December from 4:30pm until 5:30pm. Registration not required. For more information or questions, contact Meredith.
