Go 40 or Below
During the Food Safety Month in September, we want to bring awareness to safe food practices that help to reduce the risk of food poisoning. Maintaining home refrigerators at 40°F or below is one of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of foodborne illness. An estimated 48 million (1 in 6) people in the United States get sick, 128,000 are hospitalized, and 3,000 die from eating contaminated food a year. |

Join the Extension Office at the Thornton Library in Oxford on Thursday, September 4 at 10:30 a.m. for a workshop on Fall Prevention to get more information on how you can prevent slips, trips, and falls. |
