As the mornings start to have a slight chill in the air, and the leaves are starting to turn colors, and fall to the ground we are easily reminded that a new season is upon us. We are entering into the Fall season. For many, fall is symbolized with football, going back to school, cooler weather, sweaters and sweatshirts, pumpkin spice, and much more. Just as the temperature, and the colors around us change during the fall season, our food preferences change. Once the weather starts having that brisk chill in the air a lot of us will start craving those comfort foods. What are comfort foods and why do we crave them?

NY Holiday Bus Trip

The holiday season is quickly approaching and the New York City Holiday Bus trip is back. Add this to your holiday plans this year and leave the driving to us. We will leave from the Nash County Cooperative Extension Office located at 1006 Eastern Avenue Nashville, NC on Friday, December 12 at 9:30 p.m. and return early on Sunday, December 14. Cost = $175. To reserve a seat you must have the registration form completed along with your $75.00 non-refundable deposit per ticket. Payments must be made at the Nash County Cooperative Extension Office. The remaining balance will be due on Monday, October 20th. Tickets are $175 per seat and are first come first served.
