Extension News Currituck County

October 2025

From the Director

NC Cooperative Extension services are a valuable resource for our community, offering a wide range of programs offered by friendly, competent and caring staff. In addition to our many educational classes and agriculture services, Extension offers help for a variety of aspects of daily life, from health and wellness to community development. This release highlights four key programs that you may not know about: soil sampling, Medicare counseling, facilitation services, and the Backpacks for Kids weekend feeding program.

We encourage everyone to contact their local Extension office to learn more about these and other programs available. We are a resource for the entire community and are here to help you live a better, healthier, and more productive life. For more information, contact Cameron Lowe, County Extension Director at cameron_lowe@ncsu.edu or 252-232-2261.
