SPOTLIGHT ON SUCCESS!

At the end of summer and the start of the school year, Wake County 4-H has been busy engaging youth in leadership and learning opportunities. The 1st Annual Spark Expo was held at Wake Tech, giving youth hands-on experiences in STEM, service projects, and a youth panel featuring local leaders, hosted in partnership with SparkNC and Wake County Public Schools. Following that, the 5th Annual Youth Food Security Summit brought together partners from the Poe Center, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, Carolina Hunger Initiative, North Carolina Youth Institute, and more. Youth participated in workshops on gardening, nutrition, marketing, and service planning, and helped pack 200 resource bags for Wake County pantries.
