Community Connections
Join us for our 2025 Community Connections at the NC Cooperative Extension Guilford County Center! Come meet your local Extension Agents, visit public and nonprofit organization tables, and attend free workshops.
We invite you to explore the resources and intersections of our programming featuring local agriculture, horticulture, 4-H, community & school gardens, family & consumer sciences, food security, and digital literacy.

Back To Your Roots
In this session, we will be looking back at those beloved southern eats and recipes that may remind a lot of us of home as we approach the holiday season. We will cover a couple of traditional southern recipes and give tips for adding a healthy twist.

Family Night Out: Pizza Challenge!
Join us for a night of fun for the whole family! During this session of Family Night Out we will be doing a pizza making challenge as we explore how agriculture has produced many of the beloved pizza ingredients that we enjoy. From the dough that makes the crust to the herbs that we use to create yummy combinations.

Caregiving During the Holidays
In this Caregiving During the Holidays workshop, you will learn how to gain understanding of Alzheimer's disease and dementia, provide care for yourself and your loved one during the holidays, adjust expectations and holiday plans to you and your loved one's needs and abilities, and remain flexible and education family and friends about the disease, holiday safety, and sensitivity.

We’ve launched our seasonal Free Little Library inside the Cooperative Extension Office to share the love of reading and learning. Come and check out some of the books that others have donated, or donate some of the books that overflow from your library.

Parks and Recreation: Trotter Active Adult Center
The mission of Trotter Active Adult Center is to provide diverse, year-round programs, activities and services that meet the physical, social, mental and cultural needs of active adults in Greensboro and Guilford County. Some of the features are a fitness room, computer lab, gymnasium, and many awesome classes. It's also located adjacent to Hester Park.
