The Master Gardener Initial Training Sign-ups are Extended until Nov 17th


We are excited to offer the Extension Master Gardener℠ Initial Training for Cherokee County beginning January 7, 2026. The training will be held at the Extension Education Annex . Join Cherokee County 4-H for a fun-filled day on November 26, 2025, for our 4-H Holiday Workshop. We will be making holiday crafts and having a great time. We will create Thanksgiving-related crafts, as well as various Christmas crafts.

Sewing For a Cause


The Extension Community Association (ECA) 's Sew Much Fun Sew Club will be hosting a community sew event in which those who come will volunteer their time to sew tote bags for REACH of Cherokee County. Tote bags will assist victims of domestic violence in having a bag to place personal items.

Calling All Deer Hunters


Mid-Season Venison Donation Report indicates that 5 deer have been donated thus far. This totals to approximately 1,000 meals! Thank you to our local licensed hunters for contributing to those in need! Read more on how to participate in the Venison Donation program.

Cherokee County 4-H participates in many activities that require us to raise funds from time to time. Annually, we host our 4-H Plant Sale, which supports our overall 4-H program. This year, to help raise funds for our 4-H Special Projects, we are partnering with Bloom For Good socks to support our 4-H Special Projects.

Pro Garden Series Classes 2026


Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteers of Cherokee County will be offering a series of Pro Gardening classes beginning January 14. The classes will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Extension Education Annex  for participants who wants to learn about gardening but are not quite ready to become an Extension Master Gardener.

Come check out one of our great 4-H Clubs  and get enroll in one of our great 4-H clubs here in Cherokee County. Youth do not have to own animals, know how to tie fly’s, or know how to cook in order to join our clubs but youth should be interested in learning about the focus areas of the clubs.
