4-H News: Sandy Mush 4-H Club Honors Veterans at Annual Veterans Day Event

Our Sandy Mush 4-H Club gathered together on Veterans Day to host a dinner to honor local veterans in our community. In partnership with the Salty Goat Grill, veterans and their families gathered for an evening of fellowship, served by our Sandy Mush 4-H Club members. These youth did an excellent job putting their "hands to larger service" and honoring the individuals who have served our County so that we may continue to enjoy our freedom.

The Sandy Mush 4-H Club is a community club in Buncombe County, based in the Sandy Mush/Leicester community. Youth in this club participate in a variety of 4-H projects, including livestock and shooting sports, while also participating in service projects and learning about new topics each month. Buncombe County 4-H Needs You!

Buncombe County 4-H is currently seeking passionate adult volunteers to assist in implementing the following 4-H programs: STEM & Electricity, Cooking and Sewing classes. The time commitment is flexible with your schedule and you will be making a lasting positive impact on kids in your community!

Volunteers are the key to success in the Buncombe County 4-H program. Whether you’re interested in starting a club and becoming a club leader or just have a few hours to invest, we have challenging and fun jobs for adults who want to make a difference in the lives of Buncombe County youth!
