Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Today, Tuesday, December 2, is the National Day of Giving, kicking off our month-long fundraising drive for the NC Alternative Crops & Organics Program. Please consider supporting our unique program in your end-of-year charitable giving.

Still recovering from the devastation of storm Helene, and facing uncertainty with government funding, your contribution may determine whether our program continues. We have a great team whose employment is at risk, as are many special programs such as the Woodland Stewards, popular workshops on new and emerging crops, our legendary Medicinal Herb Grower and Buyer Event, and more research and extension activities serving farmers in this community and beyond.

Being a “Friend of the Program” matters. Please scroll through our Facebook page and website to see the impact of your gift. Your donation will help retain staff, purchase supplies, conduct research and extension...and even keep three old pickups running!

After a tumultuous year, we urgently need to raise $90,000 this December.

Please donate online or print this form: 2025 Donation Form for NC Alternative Crops and Organics and mail it in with your check. If you donate online, please drop me an email (Jeanine_Davis@ncsu.edu) indicating if we may thank you publicly.

Thank you for considering. We sincerely appreciate your support!

Warm regards,

Jeanine Davis
