Canning Classes
2026 canning classes are open for registration. Come learn the art of preserving foods through canning. As a participant you'll learn the process and the food safety steps to can food safely through an engaging hands on class at the Extension Center. Go ahead and claim your seat in a class before they fill up.

Free Little Library: Let's Read!
We’ve launched our seasonal Free Little Library inside the Cooperative Extension Office to share the love of reading and learning. Come and check out some of the books that others have donated, or donate some of the books that overflow from your library.

Parks and Recreation: Trotter Active Adult Center
The mission of Trotter Active Adult Center is to provide diverse, year-round programs, activities and services that meet the physical, social, mental and cultural needs of active adults in Greensboro and Guilford County. Some of the features are a fitness room, computer lab, gymnasium, and many awesome classes. It's also located adjacent to Hester Park.

Whether it's an ice storm or other severe weather, many North Carolinians are accustomed to the lights going out over time.
