Macon Mountain Goats 4-H Club
The club also raised over $280 at Cowee Christmas by providing people the opportunity to take Christmas pictures with their goats.  Very cleaver!!  They will use their proceeds to travel to interesting goat field trips and to support their favorite charities.

Macon Archers
We have moved inside for the winter.  This month we will shoot on January 8, 15, 22 and 29th.  You are welcome to arrive between 5:00 - 5:30 depending on parent work schedules.  Our indoor range is at the Macon County Fairgrounds.  Remember there is no restroom and to bundle up.  It's cold...inside too.
Macon Sharp Shooters - WHEP (Wildlife)

We have moved inside and are shooting air rifles in the conference room of the Cooperative Extension Office.  This month we will shoot on January 12th and 26th at 5:30.  This group is teaming up with Wildlife Habitat education.  This month we will dissect owl pellets and talk about large prey birds.  This group is for ages 9-18.
Budding Chefs and Top Chefs

In December, we had our annual Gingerbread Cookie decorating contest.  It was great fun and lots of creative sugar plum fairies working hard on their creations.  Congratulations to David Morales and Roey Goldstein for winning the day

In January, all chefs will meet on Tuesday January 13th at 3:45.  For ages 5 and up.

Sassy Stitchers
Our Stitchers made some beautiful items this year for Christmas decorations and gifts.  Holidays are for the creative and crafty.   Thank you to all of our supporters who bought beautiful ornaments during our holiday fundraiser.  In January, the beginners will meet on January 8th and 15th at 3:45pm and the advanced will meet on January 22nd and 29th, also at 3:45pm
Macon 4-H Beekeepers
We finished up our year by making beeswax lotion and chap-stick.  It is amazing how many ways bees provide for us. Thank you to all of those that bought honey from our club and supported us.  The 2026 group will start on January 14th with an orientation meeting and then will paint hives on January 28th.  During the cold months, we will be at the Cooperative Extension meeting room.  Please let Tammara know if you would like to join or need more information.
