Winter Clothing Drive
We will be collecting new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, and scarves and new socks and disposable packs of hand warmers. We will be putting these items outside the building to accompany our blessing box for members of the community to take what they need.

Join us in demystifying what it means to eat plant-based, understanding the why moving toward a more plant-forward diet can be beneficial for your health, and learn how to navigate common barriers. We'll answer questions including how to ensure you get all the necessary nutrients, offer practical ways to seamlessly add more plants to your meals, and provide a list of reliable resources to get you started.

Harvest To Home
This full-day workshop empowers Guilford County farmers to create their own simple, seasonal, and market-ready recipe cards using the produce they grow. Join us to learn how to develop shopper-friendly recipes, build your farm's educational marketing tools, and collaborate with other local farmers!

2026 Canning Classes
2026 canning classes are open for registration. Come learn the art of preserving foods through canning. As a participant you'll learn the process and the food safety steps to can food safely through an engaging hands on class at the Extension Center. Go ahead and claim your seat in a class before they fill up.

We’ve launched our seasonal Free Little Library inside the Cooperative Extension Office to share the love of reading and learning. Come and check out some of the books that others have donated, or donate some of the books that overflow from your library.

Our new blessing box is going strong. This is a great way for community members to donate or take food and hygiene items as they need to. You are welcome to take from and give to this blessing box.

Parks and Recreation: Trotter Active Adult Center
The mission of Trotter Active Adult Center is to provide diverse, year-round programs, activities and services that meet the physical, social, mental and cultural needs of active adults in Greensboro and Guilford County. Some of the features are a fitness room, computer lab, gymnasium, and many awesome classes. It's also located adjacent to Hester Park.
