Medicare Annual Election

If you are a Medicare Beneficiary you are eligible to review and/or change your part D, Drug Coverage, every year between October 15 and December 7. This time is known as the Medicare Annual Election Period. Cooperative Extension and the North Carolina Department of Insurance have a wonderful program to help you navigate through the annual election period.

Fall Plant Sale

Fall is the best time of year to plant garden plants and trees in mild winter climates, including native plants and drought-tolerant plants. When compared to spring planting, fall planting shows a significant increase in growth after the first year for most trees and shrubs. If you are interested in adding new plants to your house or garden, check out the Master Gardener℠ volunteers of Currituck County’s annual Fall Plant Sale which is being held in conjunction with the Currituck Farm Festival tomorrow!
