Macon Mountain Goats 4-H Club

It is that time of year where we monitor our goats health and check for parasite.  Come join us for pizza and parasites on Tuesday March 10th at 6:00pm.  We will meet at the Cooperative Extension Office.

Macon Archers

March is the last month we will shoot inside at the fairgrounds. In April, we will move back outside to our 4-H range. We will continue to shoot on Thursdays at 5:00pm.
Macon Sharp Shooters & WHEP

In February,  we practiced our marksmanship, dissected owl pellets and practiced what we would say if we had to speak to a our commissioners about wildlife.  We will be busy again in March and will meet on the 9th and 23rd.  We have been meeting at 5:30 but need to move to 6:00 due to other events in the meeting room.
Top Chefs - All Ages

In February, we made crepes with berry sauce and decided that the French had a really good idea with these tasty treats.  Now we are going to continue on and see what other countries have interesting food ideas.  This month (to cerebrate our clover holiday St. Patrick's Day) we will talk about Ireland and see what types of interesting food they have.  Join us on Tuesday March 10th at 3:45 at the Cooperative Extension Office as we explore our culinary world.
Macon Hoofprints 4-H Club

This club is not afraid of the cold the hot or the mud!!  In February, they had a great speaker, Matt Reynolds to talk about first aid and made a take home first aid kit.  They also had their first riding day.  This month we will meet on Wednesday March 4th at the Cooperative Extension Office at 5:30pm.  On Saturday March 14th the club will sponsor a Roping clinic.  Check the above information block to learn how to register.
Sassy Stitchers

Thank you to our Sassy Stitchers for making bookmarks to send to a rural classroom in Alaska.  They teamed up with the beekeepers to send a fun package to warm up their winter days that included honey straws (hard to get in cold Alaska) and hand made bookmarks.
Our Beginners will meet on March 5th & 12th at 3:45.  Our advanced group is almost finished making their first complete start to finish garment: a super sassy summer dress.  Advanced sewers will meet on March19th and 26th at 3:45.
Macon 4-H Beekeepers

We have a great new group of beekeepers starting the 2026 year.  In February, we have been learning the different parts of the hive, the jobs of different ages of bees and paining our hives.  Plan to meet at the Extension office on March 11th at 5:30.  We will try on suits and plan on going into the beeyard on March 25th at 5:30
