From the 4-H Agent, DJ Salyer
March is here, and with it comes a fresh season of opportunities for our Alexander County 4-H families!
In February, we were proud to host our Annual 4-H Achievement Night where we celebrated the hard work, leadership, and dedication of our amazing 4-H members and volunteers. It was a wonderful evening filled with recognition, smiles, and memories, and a great reminder of how strong and supportive our 4-H community truly is. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success and to all who continue to invest their time and talents into our youth.
As we move into March, we look forward to exciting programs, hands-on learning experiences, and new ways for our members to grow and shine. Spring is a busy and fun time in 4-H, and we encourage families to stay connected, attend meetings, and take advantage of upcoming activities and opportunities.
Thank you for being part of Alexander County 4-H and for helping us shape confident, capable young leaders. We can’t wait to see what this season brings!
Sincerely,
DJ Salyer 4-H Agent, Alexander County

4-H Presentations
4-H Presentations are a huge part of North Carolina 4-H. It is one of the most successful ways to help a young person learn how to do a public speech. It focuses on members teaching others what they know about a particular project/subject matter. They are sometimes called demonstrations or illustrated talk or formal speech.
