Spring is rolling in and the grills are getting fired up. In this session we'll talk about the different foods you can grill and how adhere to proper food safety when preparing them. Food Safety is very important to keep you, family and friends safe when grilling.

2026 Virtual Fermentation Series:
Kimchi
Learn the basics of safe, home food fermentation in our upcoming virtual Fermentation Series. Participants will explore how to prepare kimchi, kombucha, sauerkraut, and yogurt while gaining practical food safety guidance. The first virtual installment of the series will be on May 19th.

2026 Food Preservation Series
Canning and Food Preservation is a safe, economical way to preserve quality food at home. Canning interrupts the normal spoiling and decaying cycle of food. Canning your favorite and special products to be enjoyed by family and friends is a fulfilling experience and a source of pride for many people!

We’ve launched our seasonal Free Little Library inside the Cooperative Extension Office to share the love of reading and learning. Come and check out some of the books that others have donated, or donate some of the books that overflow from your library.

Our blessing box is going strong. This is a great way for community members to donate or take food and hygiene items as they need to. You are welcome to take from and give to this blessing box.

The mission of Trotter Active Adult Center is to provide diverse, year-round programs, activities and services that meet the physical, social, mental and cultural needs of active adults in Greensboro and Guilford County. Some of the features are a fitness room, computer lab, gymnasium, and many awesome classes. It's also located adjacent to Hester Park.
